Newly Released Comic Revolves Around MIT Blackjack Team’s Ventures

Just like the movie 21, a new comic titled “Brilliant” that is being released in July 2011, features the MIT Blackjack team and follows the stories of their adventures. The comic will feature a twist in the tale, where a group of geeky college students get super powers after a freak laboratory accident. Their quest is to gain more power and wealth.
Most blackjack players enjoyed watching and are big fans of the movie “21” that revolves around the game of blackjack and a master team of blackjack players. The movie 21 features a group of MIT students who are brilliant at math who are coached by their math teacher to hone their skills to use it at the casinos in Las Vegas to make some extra money by playing blackjack.
This movie is based on the story of the MIT Blackjack Card Counting Team. This team that operated from 1979 eventually generated 3500% yearly returns from their investment at blackjack tables.
The new comic that was released at the C2E2 comic book convention in Chicago by Mark Bagley and Brian Bendis is expected to run eight issues and it could also be made as a miniseries if people favour the same. A spokesperson blamed the issues that Jerry Powers is facing on a period of his life when he was involved in substance abuse; however no reason has been cited for his lack of responsibility and incapability to own up to his actions.
Jerry Powers is a businessman, and he had made a small fortune by selling Ocean Drive Magazine to Greenspun Media Group in which he made $33 million. After that he invested in Plum TV and about five months ago he took over as Chairman and CEO of Plum TV. Since then he has been moving the company into new ventures like luxury magazines, which is much beyond TV.

Armed Robbers Attack Blackjack Tournament Taking 5 Million Euros
