Blackjack Dealer Fined $75,000 for $500 Theft
August 8th, 2011 by Site Admin
Matthew Eisenberg, a 26 year old blackjack dealer who worked at the Rivers Casino, was recently fined $75,000 for stealing $500 worth of chips from the casino. Considering that the fine is more than a hundred times more than what he stole, Eisenberg’s case proves that crime does not pay.
Eisenberg, who was supposedly not content with his pay would now and then lift $1 and $5 chips and drop them into his tip jar to hike his earnings.
Eventually, security officials at Rivers Casino became highly suspicious of Eisenberg as his everyday tip grew from $200 to $500. They then observed Eisenberg and caught him. Later it was revealed that he had robbed the casino on 108 different occasions, which eventually put him behind bars after being held in court under the scrutiny of Judge Joseph K. Williams III at the Allegheny County Common Pleas.
Apart from the compensation and one year probation, Eisenberg was alarmed by the $75,000 fine imposed on him for this misdemeanor. Responding to the matter, Eisenberg’s Attorney, Michael Santicola said that there have been many crimes that have taken place at casinos before, but this punishment had been taken too far.
Zappala, District Attorney commented, “We believe that the crime fits the statute as written and we believe that the General Assembly wrote the statute to protect the integrity of the casino process. We believe that it’s important for the patrons of the casino to know that there is a process in place to keep them from being ripped off and to deter the type of behavior that was described in court.”

Grand Duke Accuses Blackjack Player of Using System To Win
August 3rd, 2011 by Site Admin
Grand Duke, a brand new Playtech Casino has gotten itself involved in a controversy with one of its casino players and the online gambling community. According to sources, the Grand Duke casino is claiming that the blackjack player is utilizing a system to win big when he is playing blackjack.
This UK player has won a reasonable £7200 but has been denied that money by the casino. The Grand Duke casino seems to believe that after having accused the player of using a system, they have justified their act of canceling the payout. However, this has become a big issue among the online gambling community.
Some of the biggest online casinos are using state of the art software like Playtech Casino software, in which case, blackjack cards will always be shuffled after every single round. Hence, using a system will be of vain in such case. This would be different if the casino offered live online blackjack where a system could potentially be used if they were using a 6 shoe deck that wasn’t shuffled between hands.
The issue has led to a heated up discussion about Grand Duke Casino at the famous Casinomeister forum. It seems at the moment that the casino is standing on its decision, although in due time we will find out if the casino has done the right thing or not.

Blackjack Players Lose Because of Bad Strategy
July 27th, 2011 by Site Admin
When blackjack players lose at playing a game of blackjack, one of the biggest reasons for their loss is the use of bad or inappropriate blackjack strategy.
A lot of players who are playing blackjack for the first time lose while playing casino blackjack, as they are adopting bad blackjack strategies. If you want to win the trick is to be focused on the game and avoid getting stressed out. If you have lost at blackjack and find yourself very tense, pamper yourself with a massage before you hit the tables again. Remember that you will need to avoid the commonly made mistakes if you intend to win.
Irrespective of the strategy a blackjack player is using to win the game, players will have to understand that they will have to modify the strategy according to the game play. Do not forget to modify the strategy depending on the particular game rules for the particular casino blackjack table.
Blackjack games can become difficult if you are playing a game where the dealer can strike a soft 17 and you have a strategy in mind where the dealer must stand on soft 17. Never fail to remember that it is vital that the single card the dealer is showing and how it compares against the two cards you are holding.
Finally don’t ever sit on seats one and two as they are usually the losing seats reserved for drinkers and losers.
