March 25th, 2013 by Site Admin

How would you feel if you woke up today and know that you have a cool $15 million to spend? That is the feeling that Don Johnson, the man who beat not one, not two, but THREE casinos at blackjack is currently experiencing. Talk about having more money than you can spend.
In a recent interview with a major magazine, Don reveals that all the games he had played did not involve him cheating in any form. He explains that he did gain somewhat favorable conditions in his blackjack gameplay that enabled him to achieve the $15 million benchmark in a span of just 5 months.
Don netted $4 million from Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, $5 million from the Borgata and a whopping $6 million from the Tropicana. Needless to say, these establishments would rather not see Don walking through their doors anytime soon. This is not new to Don, as his superior ability in playing Blackjack has already left him kicked out of some casinos and downright banned because he was simply winning too much.
He is currently the chief executive officer of Heritage Development LLC. His company develops wagering systems on horseracing, which are entirely computer-based.

Players simply need to download the application at the Microsoft Windows Phone Store and once done, there is no more need for connectivity to the Internet to play the game.

The construction of the casino started last February of 2011. This used to be where Broadway Commons stood, which makes it a very accessible place for all people for area locals. A flattering 53% of votes in November 2009 ratified the constitutional amendment, which made Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati become one of the casinos to be established in the four largest cities in the state.

In Ohio, these casinos can be found in Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and now Cincinnati. Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati is a two-storey property which boasts 2,000 slot machines ranging from one cent up to $500 a spin. It also showcases 85 table games as well as 31-table World Series of Poker room.

eConnect to Showcase Blackjack Card Counting Technology

March 20th, 2013 by Site Admin

The software developer eConnect Inc. announced the release of their newest discovery; eConnect Countdown. This is considered to be a breakthrough, which will allow casino operators to identify advantage players with less effort.
This revolutionary tool will monitor casino Blackjack tables to show details revealing a “True Card Counter” making their move. The cards that come out of the deck will be analyzed by the system to understand when an advantage player will most likely place a larger amount of bet giving them a greater chance of winning.
Card Counting is the current strategy used mainly in blackjack games that determines if the next hand is going to be favorable to the player or to the house. Card counters keep a tally of all cards, which lessens the intrinsic casino edge. This strategy allows a player to bet more with a lesser risk when the count gives them an advantage and minimizes their loss when they get an unfavorable count.
If a casino surveillance team fails to catch these blackjack card counters, the house suffers significant losses. Sometimes they go unnoticed due to the limitations of human resources and other unforeseen circumstances.
Travis Widden, eConnect Chief technology Officer commented, “With Blackjack Countdown, the software engine proactively monitors the cards and lets the staff know where to look for advantage play. We essentially reduce the amount of time wasted on table audits and instead we look at the true count just like a card counter would. Our system thinks just like the card counter, except it’s operated by the casino. This helps to reduce the gaming operators risk and evens the playing field between the player and the casino.”
This technology will no doubt put all blackjack card counters on notice.

Maryland Casino Soon to Have Hit Me! Table Games this March

March 19th, 2013 by Site Admin

Excitement is buzzing all over Perryville, Maryland as it waits for its first-ever casino table games. Blackjack will finally be available for local players in Perryville as well as poker and craps possibly as earl as this March.

Hollywood Casino Perryville is Maryland’s first casino which started operations last September 17, 2010. The area of the casino is 75,000sq ft and has over 1,500 slot machines.

Penn National Gaming owns all Hollywood Casinos that operate in the entire US. Currently, they have a record of over 25 facilities in almost 20 states and another one in Canada. It is also an operator of racetracks and they are mainly based in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.

Originally, the Penn National Race Course was the original name of the course and it was founded in1972 in Grantville Pennsylvania. It finally incorporated in the early 80’s however; it underwent a name change in 1994 to Penn National Gaming, Inc. and has since kept the label.

Hollywood Casino Perryville competes with other casinos from other neighboring states such as Delaware, Pennsylvania and Atlantic City. The slots facilities in the state hope that these table games will bring in more revenue to aid the economy.

The small town of Perryville was lucky when the Hollywood Casino opened in 2010 since there is not many events that happen in this part of Cecil County. The operators are now thinking of raising the ante on gambling after a year of operation especially now that this small town casino will become a full-fledged one once the table games are finally available.

Blackjack Booming At New Maryland Casino

March 18th, 2013 by Site Admin

It was a bright and sunny morning in Perryville, Maryland when the Hollywood Casino opened. It marked the first of the dramatic expansion on commercial gambling since voters had approved of the motion. One of the first few players was a man named Tom Truffer who had been “looking forward to this since November (2012).”
The new Hollywood Casino is a 75,000 square foot gambling property that is attracting gambling crowds all over the state. It first opened for live betting on Wednesday afternoon and has since seen customers flocking to the establishment for a game. No casino official would disclose an accurate amount of how much revenue the new games generated on the first day of the action itself. An interesting fact to note is that the previous night, had all 12 tables in the gaming pit going and players quickly filled up the seats.
Business went on and the gambling was fierce even up to the wee hours of the morning. The fact that the casino has additional table games, as well as round the clock hours, all but ensures players that they will be entertained for as long as they please.
Anthony Graziano who is a blackjack dealer, and whose shift begins at 4 am, says that business has been “nonstop since he walked in the door.”

KoolBit Mobile Gaming Features Blackjack

March 13th, 2013 by Site Admin

Founded in 2011, KoolBit, Inc. is positioning itself to become a force in online casino gaming as it is taking a step into mobile gaming with a new gambling suite. Originally, more of a social gambling site, KoolBit is now offering a real-money gaming suite, which includes Blackjack amongst other popular casino games such as video poker and roulette.

What puts KoolBit in a somewhat unique and powerful position, is the fact that they have already captured a social gaming market with their City Slots gaming suite. With City Slots, gamers can purchase chips using real money, however they don’t get to cash out their earnings.

Now that KoolBit is taking a step into real money casino gaming, the company has an opportunity to potentially parlay both markets (online gambling and social gaming) into a growing and thriving constituency in the mobile gaming market.

While at first, social gaming in the form of online casinos with virtual money may not seem to be a lucrative industry, it surprisingly brings in over $3 billion every year. As one would suspect, the revenue generated by real-money online gambling is substantially higher, over 14 times higher that is.

Gerard Cunningham, the CEO of KoolBit and former owner of Betfair USA said that it all started with iGoSlots. Now converting this into a mobile-centric app for smartphone and mobile device users, Cunningham is supremely confident that this strategy will pay off in the long run.

“We’re now going to have the biggest real-money mobile casino network with 25 games.”

The company is promoting mobile blackjack amongst these games and this should provide online bettors with a chance to play their favorite game on a new, cutting edge and high quality gaming platform.

Nevada Casino Owners Optimistic About New Legislation

March 11th, 2013 by Site Admin

Executives from some of Nevada’s most prominent casinos are enthusiastic about a new law that legalizes interstate gambling. Stock shares for Las Vegas Sands, Caesars and other casinos rose sharply after Governor Sandoval signed the new bill late last week.

Most casino owners believe that they will be able to increase their revenues by providing online gaming services to citizens in Nevada. They will be able to expand their businesses even further by reaching customers in other states.

Michael Lawton, senior research analyst for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, said that the state’s gaming industry is slowing starting to improve. Gaming revenues increased 1.5% last year. Lawton finds current revenue growth encouraging, but believes that the industry will recover much more quickly when the state’s online gaming industry starts to gain traction.

The six founders of Zynga are encouraged that Nevada has taken the initiative to pass a bill that would allow them to form compacts with other states. They have been hoping that federal lawmakers would pass a bill that would legalize interstate gambling, but those efforts stalled last year. Most experts are pessimistic that a federal bill will be passed in 2013.

Although Nevada’s new law is promising for Nevada’s casinos, other milestones will need to be reached before they can offer their services across state lines. Future gaming compacts are also contingent on other states passing online gaming bills that permit interstate gambling.

Delaware is the only other state that has passed an online gaming bill. The gaming regulators from both states have expressed an interest in forming partnerships with each other. New Jersey could be the third state to pass an online gaming bill this week, but Nevada views the Garden State more as a potential competitor than a prospective partner.

New Jersey Legalizes Online Gaming

March 6th, 2013 by Site Admin

New Jersey became the third state in the country to legalize online gambling on Tuesday. The state Senate and Assembly passed an online gaming bill before hearing Governor Chris Christie’s budget address.

The bill included several recommendations Christie made to lawmakers. Christie asked the state Congress to increase taxes on online gaming services and impose a ten year trial period to gauge the impact of online gaming on the state. The Senate and Assembly agreed with his recommendations and included them in a revised version of the bill. Christie was content with the new version of the bill and signed it the same day.

The new bill allows New Jersey casinos to offer online gaming versions of their games within the state borders. The bill could be later amended to allow for interstate gambling as well.

Members of the gambling community are ecstatic that New Jersey has finally legalized online gambling. Senator Raymond Lesniak, the primary sponsor of the bill, said New Jersey made the right move by legalizing online gaming. Lesniak said that online gambling will be extremely beneficial to the state and a “huge lifeline” for Atlantic City’s nearly bankrupt casino industry.

However, New Jersey citizens realize that they may have to wait a long time before they can actually gamble over the Internet. Nevada passed a bill to legalize online poker eight months ago and has issued a number of online gaming licenses within that time. However, none of the providers in the Silver State have launched officially an online gaming site. Experts caution that it may be another year before New Jersey actually offers online gaming.
