Ram Chary has been newly appointed as the chief executive officer of Global Cash Access (GCA), a provider of business intelligence and payment processing solutions. He succeeds David Lopez who resigned from the position a few days back.
Chary was previously appointed as a payment and banking technology specialist at Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), where he worked for around seven years. He therefore brings several years of experience and expertise to GCA.
The board of directors at GCA is happy about appointing Chary as the company’s CEO because FIS holds him in great esteem. He has not only served as the vice president (global commercial services) of FIS, but also as a consultant at IBM.
E. Miles Kilburn, chairman of GCA, said that he “has a proven track record in growing retail payments and financial services businesses” and that the GCA board of directors has ample confidence in his abilities.
GCA’s services and solutions are used by several prominent gambling site operators. GCA is a leading provider of cash handling solutions to operators of gambling businesses and sites that offer classic casino games such as online poker and online blackjack. The company is considered to be one of the industry leaders.
