Mississippi Casino Launches $50,000 Blackjack Tournament for Players

Blackjack players in the Mississippi area will have plenty to look forward to as one of the top casinos in the vicinity recently announced plans to host a massive blackjack tournament.
The casino in question is the Gold Strike Casino and Resort in Tunica, Mississippi, which will be offering a $50,000 prize for the winners of the blackjack tournament. The Gold Strike Casino and Resort launched this special offer in an effort to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The blackjack event will take place from the 16th of March and go on until the end of March.
Phil Hunter, the Director of Casino Operations commented on the upcoming event.
“We’re expecting a large turnout for this event, not just for the significant prizes offered but also because of the low buy-in of only $100.00,” he said.
The Gold Strike Casino and Resort is known for hosting good tournaments but the upcoming event is expected to be very different from its predecessors.
The $50,000 blackjack tournament will feature 5 rounds and will see players move forward based on chip count. The final event will feature 5 players who will play deep. The first place winner will be awarded $12,000 as a cash prize and another $12,000 in table money while the runner up will get $14,000.
