The Meadows to Organize $48k Celebrity Blackjack Tourney

The Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Celebrity Blackjack Tournament, a starry 2-day event hosted by the Meadows Racetrack and Casino, will be held in November. The event comprises opportunities to interact with celebrities, an auction, and a press conference.
The sports celebrities who will participate in the event are Franco Harris of the Pittsburgh Steeler Hall of Fame, Bill Mazeroski of the Pittsburgh Pirate Hall of Fame, Carl Eller and John Randle of the Minnesota Vikings Hall of Fame, Chuck Foreman and Chris Doleman of the Vikings Pro Bowlers, along with Ickey Woods and Pierre Larouche.
The Meadows VP and GM Sean Sullivan expressed pleasure at having Jerome Bettis at The Meadows and said that they are looking forward to the tournament. Half of the proceeds will be used to fund the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation.
Blackjack players can buy-in to the tournament for $300 and interact with as many as 32 celebrities. They can play either the Table Match Play or the $100 Slot FreePlaySM on Nov 19 for a prize pool of $48,000.
Those interested can register at Casino Cage; the organizers accept only money orders and cash.
