Matti Hokkanen, who is the communication manager of Finland’s casino monopoly Rahaautomaattiyhdistys, recently made a statement claiming that 82% of all casino card tables in Finland revolve around Blackjack. He also mentioned that although around 28% of roulette tables had been shut down, not a single blackjack table had been touched. According to him, Finland is now becoming the official blackjack capital of the world.
Since November 2010, the government has been offering Playtech casino games online in Finland and hence the traditional casino industry has taken a hit. But, curiously although roulette, craps, baccarat and poker tables have decreased in some parts of Finland, blackjack tables are still holding strong.
The Finnish people seem to love their casino games with special focus on blackjack. The temperature is well below freezing and it is surprising that the people don’t mind driving out to the casinos. In any case, it would appear that blackjack has been warming the hands of the people of Finland and it seems like it is going to stay.
Earlier, Finland was famous for Nokia cell phones and snow, but now there is another reason that marks Finland strongly on the world map, and that is the large number of blackjack tables that bring warmth to the people of Finland. Despite the freezing temperatures outside their homes, the Finnish people love to play blackjack online and that gets them through all seasons in Finland.
