For people who tend to associate gambling with losing money, the recent activities at the Aztar Casino may just change their minds. This is because the Aztar Casino used their gambling games to help raise funds for a charitable cause. The casino offered special blackjack tournament games and slots tourneys for patrons to try, and the funds collected were given to the Salvation Army’s Toy Town and Santa Clothes Club based in Evansville.
The Aztar Casino pleased both its patrons and society with its charitable efforts when it conducted the $10 entry tournaments over the course of last week, beginning from the 1st of December to the 5th of the month. This was the 15th event of its kind to be hosted and it featured both slot and blackjack tournament games every day.
Since the event was raising funds for children, players were given the option of bringing in either $10 as an entry fee or a toy worth the same amount. The Aztar Casino based in Indiana, will be donating all the funds and toys that it collected for the entry fees to the Salvation Army’s Toy Town and Santa Clothes Club. These funds will go a long way in providing aid to the children of underprivileged families, who will be given warm clothes, Christmas hampers and toys.
