Seminole Tribes to Open 12 New Blackjack Tables at Coconut Creek on Aug 13th

After table gaming was legalized mid-week of July, it took some time before casinos saw the player traffic at their table games increase. The casinos operated by the Seminole Tribes found an increased number of demands from players for real blackjack games and thereby took steps to meet this need.
The first Seminole casino to feel this change was the Coconut Creek Casino which had 12 new blackjack tables added to its gaming floor. The Coconut Creek Casino is scheduled to begin its first blackjack game on August 13th, 2010 and is expected to garner a lot of media attention for the dealing of the first ceremonial blackjack hand which will take place at 3 pm on that day. The first hand will be dealt by prominent Tribal Council members, actor David Cassidy, Roy White a NY Yankee and Ed Kranepool from the Mets.
In preparation for this day, the Coconut Creek Casino has taken on 90 blackjack dealers, along with 24 managerial staff to take care of its new blackjack tables and the increased player traffic. The casino also hired around 55 poker dealers. The majority of these new jobs were given to people from within the state, proving that the new laws were indeed creating job opportunities for Americans affected by the recession.
According to reports, the Seminole Casino Hollywood is next in line to open its blackjack tables and we can only wait to see how many tables and jobs this will provide.
